At Heat Source Innovation, we recently conducted a comprehensive central heating flush for a valued customer in Scawby, Lincolnshire.The project was initiated following the customer's report of 23 radiators that were not heating effectively.During our initial consultation, we assessed the system and proposed a solution that began with the introduction of a specialised central heating cleaner.This allowed the cleaner to circulate through the system, effectively breaking down any magnetite and sludge present.We returned the following week to perform the flush.Our process commenced with a thermal scan of each radiator, providing a clear visual indication of the system's performance.We then isolated the boiler and meticulously flushed each radiator individually until the water ran clear.Upon completion of the flush, we replaced 18 thermostatic radiator valves, addressing the malfunction of older models.This proactive measure was advantageous while the system was drained.We then refilled the system with inhibitor and balanced it, ensuring that all radiators received even heat.While onsite, we also performed a full strip-down service on the Ideal Vogue 40c combination boiler.Following the service, we issued a gas certificate to the customer, set an annual reminder, and affixed a service sticker to the boiler.All work was carried out by our Gas Safe registered engineers, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.Wondering if your system needs the same treatment?
